GDF Vehicles
Name Classification Capacity Armament
Trojan Amphibious Personnel Carrier Driver, Gunner, 4 Troops 1 Machine Gun
1 Anti-Aircraft Cannon
The Trojan 6x6 Armored Personnel Carrier is the standard transport unit of the GDF. It is heavily armored, and capable of amphibious travel across rivers and open ocean. Being very hardy and resistant to damage, the Trojan can continue with it's objectives even if several of it's wheels are destroyed. It is also an effective attack craft against both ground-based and aerial targets.
Titan Battle Tank Driver, Gunner Smoothbore Cannon,
2 Machine Guns
The speedy Titan is the main assault vehicle of the GDF. As well as being armed with a cannon and twin machineguns, the Titan also has maneuverability on it's side - being tracked, it can turn in it's own length, which gives it a great advantage compared to the Strogg's Goliath walker.
Platypus Assault Boat Driver, Gunner, 4 Troops Machine Gun
Almost silent at low speeds, the Platypus is more of a stealth craft than a combat vessel. Insertion and extraction of GDF troops is usually very low profile, however the Platpyus can outrun enemy forces if detected. The forward-mounted gun is more for covering fire than assault.
Husky Quad Bike Driver N/A
The Husky is a small personal transport vehicle capable of traversing even the roughest terrain. While it lacks any weapons or armor, it has unrivalled mobility, and is capable of outrunning and outmaneuvering even the fastest opponents. It's most common use is allowing snipers to gain access to otherwise inaccessible terrain.
Bumblebee Assault 'Copter Driver, 4 Troops 3 Chainguns
The Bumblebee is the GDF's specialized heavy troop transporter. Equipped for troop insertion and even light assault duties, the Bumblebee is possibly the most versatile aircraft in the GDF arsenal. Equipped with side-mounted guns for passengers to use, and enough of a fire range for personal weapon usage, this bee packs a lot of sting.
Badger Truck Driver, Gunner, 3 Troops 1 Machinegun
The Badger 4x4 is the GDF's speediest ground assault craft, used for recon missions and light raids. While lightly-armed, the Badger performs very well in the fields of both speed and maneuverability, and also allows for passengers to use their personal weapons. If there's no one available to operate the MG manually, it can be operated from within the cabin, by either the driver or the gunner.
Anansi Attack 'Copter Pilot 1 Chaingun,
Guided Missiles,
Direct-fire Missiles
This lethally-efficient descendant of the AH-64 Apache is the most powerful aircraft possessed by the GDF. Usually used for scout or light attack duties, the Anansi combines the best aspects of both helicopter and jet fighter technology. With it's direct-fire missiles for ground targets, and guided missiles for fast-moving ground or air targets, the Anansi has more than enough bang to make it worth the buck, and the nose-mounted chaingun only helps establish the Anansi as a major threat to infantry and vehicles alike.
MCP Command Post Driver, Gunner Tactical Strike Missiles,
Chaingun Turrets
The MCP is a central part of most GDF Operations. Once deployed, it becomes a fortress, securing the area for the GDF. Aside from launching the best weapon in the GDF arsenal, the MCP also extends radar capabilities and gives a good launching point for GDF assaults. The MCP is the key factor in the GDF's strategies, and should be protected as such.

The name for the vehicle is actually derived history. The historical definition is "a native or inhabitant of the ancient city of Troy".

I'm sure you've all heard of the Trojan Horse, right? Well, it ain't a horse made out of condoms, I tell ya.

It was a war ploy concocted by the Trojan strategists. The Trojan Horse was used to protect and smuggle Trojan troops into an enemy city for an ambush. So, in essence, the Trojan Horse was the first armored personnel carrier recorded in history.

Hehe, see, there's logic behind the insanity!

it was actually ment to smuugle greeks behind trojan lines, it was also devised by greeks, not trojans

and it was to get the greek troops into the city of troy and the greeks were to kill everyone once inside.

Hah, I knew I had to get my history wrong some time.

Oh well, no matter. To be honest, I don't know much about Greek/Trojan history at all - Rome's my field of knowledge.

The game isn't set too far into the future. Splash Damage seem to have wanted modern combat rather than some sci-fi stuff which isn't really believable.

I think the bumblebee was going to be called buffallo and personally I think Buffallo sounds better

Im going to so enjoy actually driving a tank into their base and blasting them rather than jsut escorting it =D
